Can you hear it? Can you feel the rumble of your church’s program train pulling out of the station and beginning to barrel down the track? If your calendar is not yet filling and your to-do list overflowing after a summer pause, both soon will be.
So, before that happens, sit down as a board one more time and reflect: Why are we doing all this? What are these programs making possible (or preventing) in our faith community, in our witness, in our capacity for depth?
